Priarie Skies Flying Canada Goose

14"H x 16"W x 11"D

This stunning limited edition reproduction of Master Carver Sam Nottleman's original wood carving of a Flying Canada Goose will be sure to please the most discriminating collector.

The Giant Canada Goose is the most familiar and widespread goose in North America. It was nearly extinct in the early 1900s.  Programs to re-establish the subspecies to its original range were tremendously successful and again today, each spring and fall, we are delighted to the sights and sounds of wild geese as they migrate. At least 11 subspecies of Canada goose have been recognized, although only a couple are distinctive.  In general, the geese get smaller as you move northward, and darker as you go westward.
